WELCOME TO The Griffin Chronicles. The Griffin Chronicles is an online Creative Writing based online journal and news resource published in Memphis, Tennessee that serves the Memphis Community. The Chronicles will collect and showcase the wonderful work being done in South Memphis at, GRAD Academy Memphis, a New-Tech Project Based Learning Experience. GRAD Academy is apart of the Achievement School District of Memphis, TN.
The Griffin Chronicles is powered the scholars of GRAD Academy Creative Writing Department. The classes are lead by a local educator at GRAD Academy and nationally recognized poet: Timothy Moore. His Creative Writing classes are the publishers, editors, and full operators of the journal. He acts as a safeguard for school policy as Chief Executive Officer. His scholars creativity with the full project being guided, installed, and updated by scholars is on full display as this comes to life for you to read.
Our publication's editorial leader - Executive Editor, Asiya Williams ensures journalistic integrity and manages content from a roster of well respected scholar editors including: Kyla Lewis, Tatayana Dorrough, Olivia Randle, Kenton Luna, and Maurice Dickson. The team of 60 writers and contributors are all high school scholars at GRAD.
We report on local relevant content effecting Memphis,Tennessee and societal issues. We focus on the wonderful and good news often missed in our communities. Our subjects include metro news, social issues, sports, entertainment, business, national news, opinion blogs, fashion, art, culture, music and more.
